  • 1/2 teaspoon sage

  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Pink Himalayan salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 dropperful SweetLeaf English Toffee Stevia (optional for a hint of sweetness)

Turkey Sausage Skillet Preparation

  1. Cook the Turkey: Start by placing a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until it’s beginning to brown, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Once browned, set the turkey aside.
  2. Simmer the Spinach: In the same skillet, add water and bring to a boil. Add the spinach, cover, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes or until the water has nearly evaporated.
  3. Season: Uncover and stir in the garlic, onion, sage, thyme, fennel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. These spices create a rich and savory flavor profile that enhances the dish without adding calories.
  4. Combine: Reintroduce the turkey to the skillet with the spinach and spices. Add the SweetLeaf English Toffee Stevia here if desired.
  5. Finish Cooking: Let the mixture cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
