What to Expect on Your First Visit at Apple Healthcare
Welcome! We’re excited to help you begin your care journey at Apple Healthcare. Here’s what to expect on your first visit—and how you can make your experience as smooth as possible.
Before Your Appointment
- Paperwork: You’ll receive a secure link to complete your intake forms online. Please complete these before your visit to reduce your wait time. If you absolutely do not have computer access, arrive at least 30 minutes early to complete paperwork on-site. Bring any referrals, doctor notes, labs, imaging reports and medication lists to your appointment.
- Identification: Please text a photo of your driver’s license and front and back of your insurance card to our secure HIPAA-compliant number ahead of your visit to ensure coverage and eligibility: 865-524-1234.
- Insurance: We accept most major insurances, including Medicare, auto (Med Pay), and worker’s compensation. If you don’t have insurance, we offer the Apple Care program, which provides up to 35% savings for private-pay patients or those with limited coverage.
If Your Visit Is Related to an Accident or Occupational Injury
- Bring all accident/claim details, including claim numbers and insurance information (Adjuster name and phone number). Bringing complete claim information helps us to help you as efficiently as possible to remove confusion.
- For these injury cases, we will bill health insurance, Med Pay, or Worker’s Comp as applicable. We do not bill third parties or attorneys directly but will provide all the necessary paperwork for these entities. If you do not have coverage for your visit, Apple Care makes quality care affordable.
The Day of Your Appointment
- Length of Visit: Your initial visit typically lasts around 90 minutes so we can thoroughly address your needs.
- What to Bring: Bring a list of your current medications, if not already included in your paperwork and any relevant referral letters or paperwork if another provider referred you to the clinic.
- Check-in: Upon arrival, we’ll review your paperwork, verify your identification/insurance, and answer initial questions. Make sure to enter on Side A.
- Evaluation: Expect a detailed consultation and problem-focused physical exam. If needed, your provider may recommend imaging (like X-rays-on site).
- Treatment: Depending on the provider you see, your care plan, including recommendations for adjustments, therapy, medication, further imaging/labs, will be decided after your evaluation. On the day of your first visit, treatment will depend on your provider’s assessment, insurance regulations and safety protocols.
- Cost: Visit costs vary by insurance and services performed. If you’re uninsured or have out-of-network insurance, ask about Apple Care at check-in for discounted rates.
