Modalities
Therapeutic modalities can be a quality tool to use in conjunction with manual and rehab care to accelerate patient healing, provide pain relief and muscle relaxation, and improve patient movement. This section contains all the commonly used modality techniques in our clinic. Each modality should be studied for both practical application and educational understanding or machine setting, patient physiological responses, indications, and contraindications.
Users should feel comfortable not only being able to use the modality but to explain to patients how it is used, normal and abnormal sensations during treatment, and explain the modalities benefits. Where applicable, you should be checked off each modality for performance and educational knowledge.

Manual Therapy
At Apple Healthcare we believe hands on patient care is a vital part of healing. Using manual care in our practice has been a successful treatment method. Manual care is used therapeutically to release tension within the muscles. It may improves circulation, allows the blood to flow, removes toxins, such as lactic acid, and brings oxygen into the muscle to improve range of motion and flexibility. In our clinic we perform tissue specific massage and other forms of manual care that allows us to work deep enough to provide therapeutic benefits.
We want to confirm that quality hands on care is occurring with all patients and will confirm competency, where applicable, with the various manual care styles.
