Patient Story: Melanie K.

by in Chiropractic Care, Patient Stories March 26, 2015

Provider Name(s): Dr. Chris, Dr. Jamie, all my favorite therapists  🙂
How did you hear about our group? Word of Mouth – Amanda Tingle was already a patient

How long have you been a patient? I started Mid-2012 so working on 3 years

What was your medical issue (in your own words) when you first started coming to our office?
I had a rib out of place that I’d been dealing with for months along with constant low back pain.

Tell us a little bit about your experience in our office:
It has been fabulous! Not only does my back get worked on but really, my entire body is healthier because of the treatments I’ve received (with physical therapy, massage, etc.) I also get far fewer migraines, a miracle!

How would you describe your health now?
My health is far better now, I’m not always hurting and I’m able to rest better at night. I didn’t realize how much my low back pain was affecting everything until it was better.

How has your improved health changed your life overall?
Because of the treatments and physical therapy, I’ve felt better and gotten more active which has led to overall better health. I am still a work in progress and will be for a while but I don’t want to imagine where I’d be now if I hadn’t started when I did.

What is something that you are proud of (or looking forward to) now that you are feeling better?
With Dr. Jamie’s & Dr. Chris’s encouragement, I started bootcamp workouts which lead to running and have since run 3 half marathons (plus numerous shorter races) and I have more scheduled for this year. This has opened a whole new world for me.

Is there anything that you have noticed about our office that sets us apart from other clinics?
The people! Everyone is amazing; they all care about how you’re doing not only physically but as a whole. I’ve been to other Chiropractic offices where it was like an assembly line – lie down, get adjusted, and leave – no therapy or anything. The time taken with each patient to make sure they’re getting the correct treatment for their current needs is fabulous and everyone is so friendly and encouraging that you can’t help but leave in a better mood than when you came in.
